Flying Around rhe World; How long?

A couple of hours for Saiyan Saga Goku.
You mean Nimbus? Goku at Raditz wasn't faster than the cloud and even when he came back he still used it to get to the battle field even after a senzu. Yamcha and the others got there quickly, especially Krillin to where Gohan and Piccolo were. Goku just didn't seem to spend a lot of time forcing himself to fly early in the story.

On Namek, Goku goes from his ship to Reccoome in a burst (kaioken in the anime) when he realizes Gohan is almost dead. And the Frieza battle is literally jumping distance if he wanted to hop from island to island.

We also know that Goku, Gohan, Krilkin, and Piccolo took some time to even get to where the androids were supposed to be attacking.

And we know Gohan is slow flying city to city, and the boys have a long flight for ssjs to Babadis ship.

I guess all we can say is that Pan and Gotenks were exceptional and AT wanted that to be known, noted, and planted in everyone's minds
